Communities in Schools of the Appalachian Highlands
Each Christmas we work with CIS to provide Christmas presents, clothing, shoes, and other needed items to students in Bristol Virginia Public Schools. In 2023 we sponsored 10 kids.
The Minnick School - Bristol
We regularly donate snack packs to the Minnick School in Bristol. This year—2023—we are donating 10 Christmas boxes to feed families from the school. St. John Lutheran Church in Abingdon, VA joins us in supporting this mission.
Bristol Faith in Action
Redeemer joined with twelve other local churches in an ecumenical partnership to found Bristol Faith in Action in 2001 in order to better serve Bristol area residents who find themselves in financial crisis. The nonprofit agency provides assistance with utility bills, rent payments, local bus passes, prescription assistance, food vouchers, debt and budget counseling, legal advice, medical care, and referrals for substance abuse, education and job placement, and other situations.
